The Anxiety Machine

‘The Anxiety Machine’ is an exploration of using sound as a medium to influence one's state of mind. Much in the same way it has been applied in multiple mediums to not only enforce sensations of positivity and tranquillity. This performance is one that enacts the opposite effect.


The Anxiety Machine was an exhibition piece made specifically for the RMIT black box spatial sound system. A 24.2-channel audio system for the development and playback of immersive environments and installation works.
